This guide presents how to delete objects in Windchill PDMLink and should be used with caution.

Important notes:
- A deleted object is deleted – it cannot be restored. Use this tool with caution
- You need to have the correct permissions set for your user to be able to delete objects in your Windchill PDMLink environment.
- You cannot delete objects with links to other objects that have been revised
- You can only delete the latest iterations/versions of an object. If you want to purge the history of an object, please contact the PDSVision Technical Support for help

3. You can only delete the latest iteration/revision of a part. 1. Open the information page of the iteration you wish to delete 2. Choose Actions > Delete 3. Choose the right alternative for deletion. See next page

5. Should you choose the third option and receive the following warning message, it means that there is only one iteration remaining of the revision in question. Use option number 1 to remove the whole revision. Con fl ict Description: Cannot delete the latest iteration of object(s) ’XXXX’ becuase it is the only remaining iteration for revision.

4. You are presented with three options: 1. Delete all iterations of each object included in this table Deletes the latest revision of the object in question, and all of the iterations. In this example the version 2.2, 2.1 and 2.0 are deleted so that 1.1 is the latest existing version 2. Delete all revisions of each object included in this table Deletes all versions of the object completely. Use this option with caution!   3. Delete latest iterations of each object included in the table Deletes the latest iteration of the object. In this example the iteration 2.2 is deleted so that 2.1 is the latest version
