Best Practice - Updating Lifecycles in Windchill

When a lifecycle workflow for an object is updated the change will be valid for objects created after the change. Previously created objects needs to have their lifecycle reassigned manually or by batch.

Update Lifecycle by Batch In Windchill 10.+ it is possible to reassign lifecycles for several object at the same time based on a search or speci fi c content 1.   Select the objects that are to be reassigned 2.   Click Actions > Process > Reassign Lifecycle It is a recommended to do a test on one or a few objects before updating a large amount of object

3. Update Lifecycle of Previously Created Parts 1.   Open the information page of the part 2.   Go to Actions > Reassign Life Cycles 3.   Choose the default settings in the window and click OK
