4. Solution 2 – If the license does not start after the lid have been closed • Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what closing the lid does > change the setting to Do Nothing for Battery and Plugged In options for When I close the lid

If the license server is running locally on a laptop, its often common that it changes between LAN and WIFI - connection and therefor also changing its MAC - addresses This can result in loosing the license server license because it shuts down. The following error is reported : " License lost" Open a Command Prompt, type ipconfig /all and press Enter. You should get a list of your Network addresses . Compare with the license file to see what nework card that always should be running. Ipconfig /all License file

3. Solution 1 - Change power options for the Check whether the option " Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power " for the Ethernet Adapter LAN is disabled 1. Go to Device Manager > Network Adapters 2. Select the network card used to generate the license file and go to Properties 3. Select Power Management tab and uncheck the option " Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power "

Solution 3 – Prioritise network cards This options is just if the two solutions above have not worked • Use hotkey Win+R to open the Run dialog. • In the Run dialog, type regedit .exe and press Enter. ... • In the Registry Editor, go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ NetworkCard • Do a backup of the registry or printscreen of the network cards names • Prioritize the network card so the Network card that the license file uses have the number 1 , the second number 2 and so on ... • Restart the machine
