4. Step 2. Search for the correct host id and hostname In the command prompt, type in the following: “ipconfig /all”. A list of network adapters should appear in the command prompt window.

6. Step 4. Locate the correct host id Usually, the correct host id is the Physical Address for the Ethernet adapter. Look for the Physical Address under “ Ethernet adapter Ethernet ”
