PTC Guide - Create PTC Account

This doucment is a help and a guide for when you want to create a PTC account. A PTC account is needed to access the PTC knowledge base, download PTC software, access your licenses and much more.

In order to get an upgraded account you need to have your PTC customer number and SCN or SON number available. This information is sent to you in the document Shipment Confirmation Letter when you buy a PTC product.

Click the activation link in the e - mail to activate your account. How to Upgrade an Account after it has Been Created Log in to the PTC website and click on My Account on the top right corner. Click Upgrade My Web Account and fill in the missin g information ( Customer Number and SCN or SON ).

Follow the steps in this guide to create a PTC account. Upgrade Your Account In order to be able to handle the licenses for your company you need to upgrade your PTC account by connecting it to your company. This can be done at the same time the account is created. What you need is to know your Customer Number and your Service Contract Number (SCN) or Sales Order Number (SON) . This inform ation is found in your Letter of Confirmation received at order deliverance. You can also contact your sales representative at PDS Vision to attain this information. Online Supervisor The first person to connect his or hers PTC account to the company is asked to be the Online Supervisor for the company’s PTC page. This means that the person has full rights to see the company’s product list, handle licenses, and more. The Online Supervisor can also modify the rights for other users connected to the same cu stomer number and share the rights of being an online supervisor. Please talk to your company’s Online Supervisor if you lack the rights to do something on the PTC homepage after logging in with your upgraded PTC account.
